In addition to the Bowhunters Hall of Fame, Jim has served in many capacities including the
presidency of the American Archery Council and the Pope & Young Club.
Since taking his first deer in the 1950's he has bowhunted in 33 states, 4
Canadian provinces, Mexico and Africa with what he terms "reasonable
success." A long time popular writer he presently serves on the
editorial staff of Petersen's Bowhunting and Inside Archery. A native
Californian he now lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma with his wife Sue of 46 years
where he hunts and fishes with his five sons and 13 grandchildren.
